This race has been held for over 50 years starting on Good Friday and finishing approximately midday on Easter Monday covering a total of 125 miles. It is a race which tests stamina, endurance and overall fitness. Participation in the D/W is a tremendous achievement for anyone who takes part. The official description of the race is “The Canoeists Everest”. This year the race will start Devizes 14th April, Newbury 15th April, Marlow Bridge 16th April, Teddington Lock 17th April finishing at Westminster Bridge at about noon.
