Flachau is a wonderful ski resort not far from Salzburg.  Great for families.  Accommodation is available on the slopes. Good for snowboarding, off-piste skiing, cross country, ice skating, tobogganing, and night skiing.  Snowboarding is available with one terrain park and two half pipes!!  Highly recommended by the staff at Dickie Dirts Curiosity Shop.
